At the beginning of 2021, GNS Japan K.K. was founded as a corporation under Japanese law with its registered office in Tokyo. The company is primarily involved in the application for a type certificate for the CASTOR® geo26JP submitted to the Japanese Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) in March 2021.
The corporation under Japanese law now has eight permanent employees on site and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the GNS Group.
The company's Management Board consists of Motoi Mitanihara as CEO, Christoph Kohn (Vice President Legal at GNS) as CFO and Tobias Fischer-Wasels on site as CTO (Cask Development at GNS).
