In addition to the well-known CASTOR® casks, GNS offers other casks for the high-level radioactive area.

The POLLUX® cask was developed for the direct final disposal of irradiated fuel elements in a salt formation. It could also be used for interim storage and transportation.

The CASTOR® 440/84 mvK is a cask for the transportation and storage of irradiated PWR fuel assemblies. Its cage is specially designed to hold 24 fuel assemblies from the Obrigheim nuclear power plant.
